Cusco – Km 82 – Huayllabamba.
At 5:00 a.m., together with your guide, depart from your hotel in Cusco in a tourist minibus and drive to kilometer 82. At this point you will meet the expedition team that will be with you throughout the trek: Cook and local porters. Then, pass the checkpoint with your passport and tickets and begin your trek on an easy trail to the Wayllabamba camp. On the way, explore the Llaqtapata archaeology site and enjoy your first lunch overlooking the Urubamba River valley and snow-capped mountains. At 18:00, at the camp, enjoy a nutritious dinner.

Today will be the most difficult day of the Classic Inca Trail 4 Day.
Have breakfast at 6:00 am. Then start the 5-hour hike to the highest point commonly called Warmiwañuska (dead woman), which is located at an altitude of 4200 meters / 13779 feet. Therefore, you will have incredible views of the eastern Andes mountain range and the native biodiversity of the Puna region. Then, continue your hike on a beautiful stone trail to Pacaymayo camp (3,640 meters / 11,942 feet). After lunch, take a relaxing break. At 6:00 pm, enjoy your dinner, delicious dishes prepared by our local cook.

After an energetic breakfast, start the day with a climb from the Pacaymayo valley to the Runkurakay pass (3970 meters / 13,024 feet). Descend gradually to the lunch spot, visiting small and beautiful archaeological sites. This is the final and most awaited part of the Classic 4-Day Inca Trail Hike to Machu Picchu. Because you will visit Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the World.
Begin your last day of trekking before sunrise with a delicious breakfast at 4:00 a.m. Beforehand, say goodbye to the porters and the chef. At 4:30 a.m., start walking following a trail through a tropical forest full of flora and fauna to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), from where you will have the first breathtaking view of the Inca city of Machupicchu. Then descend to the main gate of Machu Picchu and explore for 2 hours with your local tour guide.
After the tour in Machu Picchu, take the bus to the Aguas Calientes town. Have lunch at any restaurant on your own. Then head to Aguas Calientes train station to board your return train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy station (train departure at 2:55, 3:20, or 4:20 p.m.), where our staff will be waiting to take you by minivan to Cusco – Hotel.

Avoid coffee, alcoholic beverages and cigarettes, as they prevent the good oxygen assimilation.
- Take short hikes in Cusco to acclimatize or you can also hire short tours around Cusco. Here are the alternatives: Combined Cusco Tour (duration 5 hours), Chinchero – Maras Salineras – Moray Tour (duration 6 hours), South Valley Cusco Tour (duration 6 hours) and Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour (full day). If you wish to hire any of these tours, you must book separately.
