Detailed Itinerary of Magical Cusco Tours 5 Days
First Day: Arrival in Cusco – Visit the City and 4 nearby archaeological sites.
Upon arrival in the city of Cusco, our staff will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. You will have the rest of the morning free to acclimatize.
In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the archaeological capital of America. Begin your tour with a visit to the Cathedral, the iconic work of the colonial era; then go through original streets of the Inca period until you reach the Temple of the Sun or Qoricancha, where you can appreciate the extraordinary work of masonry. Continue with the tour visiting the 4 archaeological sites, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara, and Tambomachay, be amazed by the megalithic construction and the perfect fit of polygonal rocks. You will also have a spectacular view of the city of Cusco.

Second Day: Sacred Valley of the Incas and Connection to Machu Picchu Pueblo
Discover the best of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the handicraft market of Pisaq and browse local handicrafts; continue your trip to the top of the mountain where you can see the impressive architectural works (agricultural terraces, houses, and the Inca cemetery). Then, travel through the valley full of corn cultivation and make a stop in the city of Urubamba for your buffet lunch.
Then, continue your trip to the city of Ollantaytambo. It is the only living Inca city. Nowadays the old precincts are still used as houses.
In this place, your tour ends at 4:00 p.m., but you will have the option to continue exploring the archaeological site until 5:00 p.m. While waiting for the departure of your train to the city of Machu Picchu (7:04 pm), you will have enough time to dine. Once you arrive in the city of Machu Picchu, our staff will welcome you and accompany you to your hotel. At 9:10 p.m. You will have a brief meeting with your guide to schedule the next day’s visit.

Third Day: Visit Machu Picchu “Enigmatic Inca city” – Cusco
Today he will visit the most important icon of Peru and South America. It is advisable to take the first buses to be in the Inca city before the crowd and have breathtaking views.
Together with your professional guide, start a tour 2 and a half hours through the enigmatic city of the Incas, you will marvel at the excellent urban planning and the great challenge that the Incas had before the rugged topography of the Andes, and behind it, you will discover the enormous secrets hidden.
If you booked the entrance ticket to Huaynapicchu or Machupicchu mountain. After the tour, from the top of any of the 2 mountains, you can enjoy the fascinating landscapes (climbing the mountains is optional and on your own).
After all, at the agreed time, take the collective bus to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch. In the afternoon, head towards the train station. Exit hours of your train 3:20 or 6:20 p.m. (subject to availability). Upon arrival at the train station of Ollantaytambo or Poroy in Cusco, our staff and mobility will be waiting for you to accompany you to the city of Cusco.

Fourth Day: Tour to Maras’ Salt mines, Moray and Chinchero
We will pick you up from your hotel around 8 a.m. and you will make a beautiful trip to Maras’ Salt mines. It will take you 1 hour and 20 minutes. On your way, you will see beautiful landscapes full of crops and snow-capped mountains. Finally, observe the 4,000 so many salt pits, where salt is harvested from pre-Inca times to the present.
Continue your trip to the agricultural laboratory in Moray. You will see the fascinating display of circular terraces. Moray has several natural depressions used by the Incas. The ancient settlers of this area built gardens in the form of overlapping ring-shaped to determine the optimum conditions for growing crops.
Then return to Chinchero. It is a small original Inca town, its main tourist attraction is its colorful market on Sundays, but if your trip is not made in one of these days, it has a smaller textile center open every day. There, you will able to see a demonstration of how to make beautiful natural wool sweaters from South American Camelids.
- At the end of your tour, return to Cusco in time to enjoy a delicious lunch on your own.
Fifth day. Farewell transfer to the airport in Cusco
Our staff will go through your hotel 2 hours and 20 minutes before your flight leaves to escort you to the airport of Cusco. If your flight leaves in the afternoon, you will have free time to explore more to the city of Cusco, visit museums or buy some souvenirs.

Includes 4-night accommodation in a 2-star hotel in a double or marital room and travel on EXPEDITION train from Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu and does NOT include access tickets to the mountains (Huaynapicchu and Machupicchu Mountain).
