4 Day Exploring Cusco Tour Itinerary
Arrival in Cusco and City Tour
Upon your arrival at the Cusco airport in the morning, one of our hosts will meet you and escort you in your transfer and hotel check-in. In the afternoon (13:00 hrs), embark on an exciting and unique 6-and-a-half-hour tour to discover the most emblematic places inside and outside the Imperial City.
Explore the main square and contemplate the colonial buildings built on the walls of the Inca palaces. Then, stroll inside the Cathedral, an emblematic work of the colonial era, and admire its beautiful religious ornamentation. Afterwards, walk through the original streets of the Inca period until you reach the Sun temple or Qorikancha (Golden enclosure), observe the beauty and the perfect combination of Andean and European culture. Later, leave the city to visit the Sacsayhuaman archaeological park and take a look at the mysterious construction of polygonal megalithic style with perfect inlays, and finally, return to your hotel.

Cusco - Q'eswachaka Full Day Tour
To start the Q’eswachaka Tour, the last Inca suspension bridge. At 4:30 in the morning we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. Then, take a beautiful one hour and fifty-minute trip to the Cusipata village, where you will enjoy a delicious homemade breakfast. Then you will continue traveling making brief stops at the Circuit of the 4 Lagoons (Pomacanchi, Acopia, Asnaqocha and Pampamarka). These are beautiful Andean lagoons full of wildlife. Here you will also see the daily activities of the high Andean people and have the opportunity to interact with them.
After enjoying the friendliness of the Inca descendants and the charm of the 4 Lagunas, visit the Tupac Amaru II historic house and also see the small Pabellon volcano.
Then, head towards your main destination, the last Inca hanging bridge, called Q’eswachaka in Quechua, which means vegetable fiber bridge. Here, in addition to enjoying the living culture, enjoy the scenery of the Apurimac River canyon.
Finally, return to the Cusipata village, where you will enjoy an exquisite buffet lunch prepared with local ingredients. After a short rewarding rest, continue your trip back to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco, approximately at 17:30 hours.

Today, take a Machu Picchu full-day tour, the humanity cultural and natural heritage and wonder of the world.
Today, at 3:45 a.m., our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. Then you will be transferred in a tourist minibus to Ollantaytambo train station. Take the 6:10 a.m. train and make a breathtaking journey through the Urubamba River Valley surrounded by huge mountains until you reach Machu Picchu town (Aguas Calientes). Upon arrival, be greeted by one of our hosts and professional tour guide who will escort you on your Machu Picchu tour, the lost city of the Incas.
Passing the checkpoint, take the circuit indicated on your ticket and start exploring the lost city of the Inca empire. Admire the impressive architecture with the perfect harmony of scenic beauty and take excellent photographs that will immortalize your experience.

What are the minimum temperatures I should experience on the Exploring Cusco 4 day tour?

How can I avoid altitude sickness (soroche)?
You should sleep one night in Lima, rest well in your hotel, and the next day travel to Cusco. Before and upon arrival in Cusco, drink medicine for altitude sickness (soroche). In your hotel in Cusco also drink an infusion of coca leaves (the coca has alkaloids), which will help you to oxygenate and acclimatize better. Avoid smoking cigarettes, or drinking alcoholic beverages and coffee that obstruct the best oxygenation. It is a good idea to first visit Cusco, Machupicchu, and then the Rainbow Mountain. This way you will not feel altitude sickness symptoms.
How much luggage and what should I bring on the Cusco Q’eswachaka Machu Pichu 4 Day Tour?
It is advisable to make the trip with a personal backpack. Specially to travel to Machu Picchu you should carry a backpack smaller than 30 liters, otherwise, you will have to pay a surcharge on the freight train and you will have to make a long procedure to send your luggage. In all the tours, in your small backpack you must carry: all the tickets that will be given to you in Cusco (tourist tickets of the places to visit. Also train and bus tickets from Consettur). Identification documents: Passport and if you are a student your university card. Also bring mosquito repellent (Machupicchu), personal medication, pills for altitude sickness and extra money (PEN).

How to get to Cusco?
Most travelers arrive in Cusco by plane. You must fly from your country to Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima – Peru and then have to take a local flight from Lima to Cusco. There are four airlines that operate round-trip flights between Lima and Cusco: LATAM Airlines, AVIANCA Airlines, Star Peru, and Peruvian Airlines. They all offer similar schedules and in-flight service, but we generally recommend LATAM or AVIANCA Airlines, as they tend to be more accommodating when unexpected cancellations or delays occur.
What type of plugs are used in Peru?
In Peru, 220 volts, 60 Hz frequency, and A/B /C type plugs are used.
It is recommended to bring an adapter or converter according to the voltage, frequency, and plugs used in your country. Although most hotels and even homes in Peru now have the standard U.S. plug.
