Visit The main square preceded by the statue of the ninth emperor of the Inca empire and The amazing churches of the Company of Jesus and The Cathedral Basilica. Today, get up early in the morning and take a full day tour to Huaynapicchu and Machu Picchu Mountain.
Our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 3:45 am, then you will be transferred by tourist minibus to Ollantaytambo train station. Take the 6:10 am train and have an unforgettable journey through the Urubamba River valley surrounded by huge mountains until you reach Machu Picchu village (Aguas Calientes). Upon arrival, you will be greeted by one of our hosts and professional local tour guide who will escort you on your tour in Machu Picchu Inca citadel (2-hour).
If you have the Huaynapicchu mountain access ticket, if you have the Huayna Picchu mountain access ticket, first do the Machu Picchu Inca citadel tour, then hike up Huaynapicchu mountain on your own (entrance time 9-10am). If you have the Machu Picchu Mountain access ticket, first make the hike to Machu Picchu Mountain on your own (entrance time 8-9am), after the mountain, do the Machu Picchu Inca citadel tour (2-hour).
The ascent to either of the 2 mountains will be a unique and unforgettable experience in your life. From the top, you will enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the Machu Picchu Inca citadel in perfect harmony with nature.
After the excursion, board a bus to the Aguas Calientes town and have lunch on your own. Later (15:20, or 18:20 hours), take your return train to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, you will be met and escorted by our staff on your return trip in a tourist minibus to the Cusco city.

The ascent in slow pace to Huaynapicchu takes between 40 min. to 1 hour and the ascent to Machu Picchu Mountain takes between 1.20 to 1.40 hours.

The ascent to Huaynapicchu mountain is more dangerous than to Machu Picchu mountain. In some parts of Huaynapicchu mountain, the lithic nail stairs seem to hang from a 200 to 300 meters deep ravine. But don’t worry, the most dangerous parts are closed and alternate routes have been set up to provide greater safety for visitors. Not suitable for cardiac or those who suffer from vertigo.
In Huaynapicchu mountain you can observe Inca enclosures, containment and agricultural terraces, a small tunnel and stairs of death that are located at the cliff edge. In addition, if you are in optimal conditions to continue exploring, you can descend to the great cavern or moon’s temple that is located behind the Huaynapicchu mountain. Machu Picchu is located 112 km/69.5 miles from the city of Cusco, in the district of Machu Picchu town (better known as Aguas Calientes), province of Urubamba, Cusco region, Peru, South America.
The best way to get to Machu Picchu from Cusco is to take a bus to the train station of Poroy or Ollantaytambo, then by train to Machu Picchu village (Aguas Calientes), and finally take the 25-minute shuttle bus from Aguas Calientes to the main gate of the Machu Picchu Inca city.
