Overview
Tour to Titicaca Lake and Machu Picchu. It is one of the best options to visit the two regions of Peru. Cusco and Puno that have the most popular tourist attractions in the south of the country.
Cusco. The archaeological capital of America and cradle of the Inca Empire. Visit the imperial city and its surroundings, explore the picturesque sacred valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu “icon of South America and one of the Seven Wonders of the World.”
Puno. The folkloric capital of America and the cultural and immaterial heritage of humanity. Visit the floating islands of Titicaca Lake (the highest and navigable lake in the world (3,800 meters / 12,467 ft.) Uros and Taquile are old ethnic groups where you can see their customs and traditions and also enjoy the Andean biodiversity.
The tour lasts 7 days and 6 nights. It starts at the airport in Cusco and ends at the Juliaca or Cusco airport. You can also take a bus to La Paz – Bolivia.
The dates of the tour are flexible; you can join the group the day you decide because we have daily departures in group service in Cusco and Puno.
Day 1 – Cusco.
In the morning hours arrival in Cusco. Welcome reception and transfer to the hotel. At 1:30 pm, visit to Cusco and the four nearby archaeological sites. Accommodation in Cusco at selected hotel.
Day 2 – Tour Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu town (b-l)
From 8:40 am, visit Awanacancha, Pisaq, and Ollantaytambo and in the afternoon board your train to Machu Picchu town (Aguas Calientes). Accommodation at the selected hotel.
Day 3 – Visit the Wonder of the World “Machu Picchu” (b)
In the early morning hours, visit Machu Picchu and explore for 3 hours accompanied by your expert guide. Then go up to Huaynapicchu or mountain Machupicchu (optional) and in the afternoon take return train to the Ollantaytambo or Poroy station. Accommodation in Cusco.
Day 4 – Free day in the City of Cusco (b)
Today you can get more information about the city of Cusco, make purchases, visit museums or you can also request some of our day trips or half day. See more tours on the tailor-made options tab.
Day 5 – Route Cusco – Puno (b-l)
Take a bus with stops in Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, and Pucapucara and finally spend the night in Puno.
Day 6 – Floating Islands Uros and Taquile (b-l)
Sail in a small boat on the highest lake in the world. Visit the floating island of Uros and Taquile and enjoy the richness of biodiversity. Accommodation in Puno (D and A).
Note. If you have a round trip flight Lima – Cusco – Lima. Today at night you will catch a return bus to Cusco.
Day 7 – Farewell Transfer to the airport
Transfer to the Juliaca / Cusco airport, or you can also continue your trip to La Paz – Bolivia.
Itinerary of the Tour Titicaca Lake – Machu Picchu 7 day
Day 1 – Cusco
A.M. At the moment, your flight arrives at the Cusco airport, our staff will welcome you and escort you to your hotel. You will have the morning free to rest and acclimatize.
At 1:30 pm, start exploring the capital of the Inca Empire and its surroundings.
First, visit the Basilica Cathedral, it is built on the wall of one of the Inca palaces (Suntur Wasi) with a beautiful decoration of paintings and precious metals. Then, admire the temple of the sun (Qorikancha), was the main temple, where every June 21 was worshiped the Sun God and today, on this ancient temple is the temple of Santo Domingo de Guzmán.
Continue your trip to the outside of the city and visit the 4 archaeological sites Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay. Be amazed by its megalithic-style walls, the greatest architectural work done by the Incas during their heyday.
Return to Cusco approximately 18:30 hours. Accommodation in Cusco at chosen hotel.

Day 2 – Sacred Valley Tour – Machu Picchu village (b-l)
After breakfast at 8:40 a.m., we will travel to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will make the first stop in Awanacancha where we will appreciate the South American Camelids (Alpacas, Llamas, Vicuñas and Guanacos) and you will be able to see beautiful souvenirs made from their wool. Then we will explore the handicraft market and archaeological site of Pisaq. We will continue our trip along the Willkamayu river bank (sacred river) to Urubamba where we will enjoy our delicious buffet lunch. After lunch, we will visit the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo it is the only place where the Inca enclosures are still inhabited.
At the end of our tour, we will take our train that will depart at 19:04 hours from Ollantaytambo station to Machu Picchu town (Aguas Calientes) and overnight at the selected hotel.

Day 3 – Visit to the Wonder of the World “Machu Picchu” (b)
Escorted from your tour guide, board the first bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu. Explore the main destination on the list of many travelers for 3 hours. “Machu Picchu” is a human-made wonder that has become an icon of the ingenuity and prosperity of the most expansive empires in the history of Latin America. After knowing the city, climb on your own to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (optional).
At the agreed time, take the bus to Aguas Calientes and have lunch on your own. In the afternoon board your train back to the Ollantaytambo or Poroy station. Upon your arrival, our staff will be waiting for you to escort you to the city of Cusco.

Day 4 – Free day in the City of Cusco (b)
Today you will have a free day to know more about the city of Cusco. Day 5 – Route Cusco – Puno (b-l)
Begin your trip at 6:30 a.m., on a bus that follows the path of the Qollas from Puno to Cusco. On the way, the bus will make stops at the following places:
Andahuaylillas. Place where the small church of San Pedro and San Pablo is located, also called “Sistine Chapel of America”, since it shows in its interior an ostentatious decoration, all of incalculable value.
Raqchi. Site located 118 km from Cusco, an archaeological complex where the Incas built a great temple dedicated to God Wiraqocha and also a large number of residences, fountains, and terraces that show us the importance it had as a center of pilgrimage.
Buffet lunch. Enjoy a buffet lunch at the Pascana restaurant in Sicuani between 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
The Raya. The highest point of the trip, at 4335m.s.n.m. and road limit between Cusco Puno, from where you can appreciate the snow-capped mountain ranges around it.
Pukará. Located 106 km from the city of Puno. Ceramic village, which preserves the name of the first civilization of southern Peru, whose origin dates back to 1600 years before God and whose archaeological remains, as well as its lithic pieces and ceramics are exhibited in the Museum of the site. Finally, Arrival at the city of Puno. Overnight at the hotel in Puno.

Day 6 – Floating Islands Uros and Taquile (b-l)
At 7:00 a.m., venture on the highest and navigable lake in the world aboard a motorboat. Sail to the ancient island of the Uros, an ethnic group that lives on floating islands and whose origin has a fantastic history.
Then, sail for two hours to the island of Taquile, when you arrive at the pier, start a one-hour walk. While walking, you will enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the Titicaca Lake and have lunch in the Quechua speaking village. Finally, return to the city of Puno, arriving at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Transfer to the hotel and accommodation in Puno or you can take a night bus to return to the city of Cusco.

Day 7 – Farewell transfer to the airport.
Have breakfast at your hotel. At the agreed time, our staff will stop by your hotel to drive you to the airport in the city of Juliaca, or you can continue your trip to La Paz – Bolivia.
If the previous night took a night bus to the city of Cusco, in the bus terminal of Cusco, our staff will be waiting for you to receive and then escort you to the airport in Cusco.
