7 Day Tour to Titicaca Lake and Machu Picchu
Lake Titicaca and Machu Picchu 7 Day Tour. It is one of the best options to visit the two regions of Peru. Cusco and Puno that have the most popular tourist attractions in the south of the country.
Cusco. The archaeological capital of America and cradle of the Inca Empire. Visit the imperial city and its surroundings, explore the picturesque sacred valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu “icon of South America and one of the Seven Wonders of the World.”
Puno. The folkloric capital of America and the cultural and immaterial heritage of humanity. Visit the floating islands of Titicaca Lake (the highest and navigable lake in the world (3,800 meters / 12,467 ft.) Uros and Taquile are old ethnic groups where you can see their customs and traditions and also enjoy the Andean biodiversity.
The tour lasts 7 days and 6 nights. It starts at the airport in Cusco and ends at the Juliaca or Cusco airport. You can also take a bus to La Paz – Bolivia.
The dates of the tour are flexible; you can join the group the day you decide because we have daily departures in group service in Cusco and Puno.

Lake Titicaca and Machu Picchu 7 Day Tour Summary
Day 1: Arrival in Cusco and city tour.
In the morning hours arrival in Cusco. Welcome reception and transfer to the hotel. At 13:00 hour, visit to Cusco and the four nearby archaeological sites. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 2: Tour Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu town (B & L)
After breakfast. At 8:00 am, embark on an epic journey to the sacred valley. Visit Awanacancha, Pisaq, Ollantaytambo and in the afternoon take the train to Machu Picchu village (Aguas Calientes). Overnight in Machu Picchu village.
Day 3: Visit the Wonder of the World “Machu Picchu” (B)
Explore Machu Picchu escorted by your expert guide. Then climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain (optional) and in the afternoon take your return train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy station. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 4: Cusco – Tour to the Rainbow Mountain – Cusco and overnight trip to Puno (B & L)
At 4:30 am, departure from Cusco by tourist minibus to the rainbow mountain. At 6:30 am, breakfast in the Cusipata village. At 8:30 am, Start of the hike to the Rainbow mountain viewpoint. At 12:30 am, return by minibus and lunch in the Cusipata town. Arrival in Cusco at approximately 5:30 pm.
At 10:00 pm, night bus ride from Cusco to Puno (7 hours).
Note: If today you do not want to make the trek to the Vinicunca Rainbow mountain, we have other alternatives such as the tour to the Palcoyo rainbow mountain, Humantay Lagoon, the Ausangate 7 lagoons, the Qeswachaka last Inca suspension bridge, Waqrapuka fortress, Andean Condor Bird Watching and others.
Day 5: Puno – Uros and Amantani Islands Tour (L & D).
At 5:00 am, arrival in Puno and welcome reception. At 7:30 am, start of the tour to the Uros and Amantani floating islands in the mythical Lake Titicaca. Overnight at Amantani Island in a family home in the middle of the world’s highest navigable lake.
Day 6: Amantani – Taquile Island Tour – Puno (B)
Beautiful sunrise in the middle of Lake Titicaca. After homemade breakfast, start the Taquile Island tour and in the afternoon return to Puno city. Overnight in Puno.
Note: If you have your round-trip flight Lima – Cusco – Lima. Today at night you will take a bus back to Cusco.
Day 7: Farewell transfer to the airport (B)
Farewell transfer to Juliaca airport or you can also continue your trip to La Paz – Bolivia.
Our service ends in Puno or at the Manco Capac airport in Juliaca.
Itinerary of the Lake Titicaca and Machu Picchu 7 Day Tour
Arrival in Cusco and city tour
In the morning. As soon as your flight arrives at the Cusco airport, our staff will meet you and escort you to your hotel. You will have the morning free to rest and acclimatize.
At 1:30 pm, start exploring the capital of the Inca Empire and its surroundings.
First, visit the Cathedral Basilica, which is built on the wall of one of the Inca palaces (Suntur Wasi) with a beautiful decoration of paintings and precious metals. Then, admire the temple of the sun or Qorikancha (golden enclosure), it was the main temple, where every June 21st the Sun God was worshipped and today, over this ancient temple is the temple of Santo Domingo de Guzman.
Continue your trip out of the city and visit the 4 archaeological sites built with giant rocks: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay. Be amazed by their megalithic style walls, the greatest architectural work done by the Incas during their heyday.
Return to Cusco approximately 18:30 hours.

Sacred Valley Tour - Machu Picchu village
After breakfast at your hotel, at 8:00 a.m., embark on an epic journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Make a brief stop at Awanacancha where you will meet the South American camelids (alpacas, llamas, vicuñas and guanacos) and see beautiful handicrafts made from the wool. Then explore the local market and the archaeological site of Pisaq. Continue your journey along the Willkamayu River bank (sacred river) to Urubamba, where you will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch prepared with local ingredients. After tasting the Peruvian cuisine, visit the Ollantaytambo Inca fortress, the only place where the Inca enclosures are still being inhabited.
After the tour in Ollantaytambo, board your train departing at 7:04 p.m. from Ollantaytambo station to Machu Picchu town (Aguas Calientes).

Visit to the Wonder of the World "Machu Picchu"
After breakfast at your hotel and 1 hour before the time indicated on your entrance ticket to Machu Picchu, escorted by your tour guide, board the bus to the Machu Picchu main entrance.
Passing the checkpoint, take the circuit indicated on your ticket and begin to explore all the highlights and enjoy the Machu Picchu breathtaking panoramic views in perfect harmony with the scenic beauty. Also take excellent photographs that will immortalize your experience. Then, if you have a ticket to climb Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain (optional), climb on your own.
After exploring all the places, take the bus to the Aguas Calientes town and have lunch on your own. Later (14:55, 15:20 or 18:20 hours), board your return train to Ollantaytambo station. Upon arrival you will be met by our staff and accompanied on your return trip by tourist minibus to the Cusco city. Overnight in Cusco.

Cusco - Rainbow Mountain Tour - Cusco and night trip to Puno.
To start the Rainbow mountain tour, our tour guide and mobility will pass by your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 to 4:30am, depending your hotel location. Then, take a 1.5-hour drive to the Cusipata village where you will enjoy an energetic homemade breakfast prepared with local ingredients. Afterwards, continue your journey for another 1 hour to Phullawasi – Chilliwani community and start uphill hike until you reach to Rainbow Mountain. As you hike up with your professional guide, enjoy the beautiful scenery and also see South American camelids and other high Andean animals in their natural habitat.
From the 7-colored mountain viewpoint, enjoy a complete compendium of the scenic beauty. Also appreciate the fifth highest mountain in Peru (Ausangate 6,384 masl / 20,944 ft) and take excellent photographs. After marveling, start to return to the bus station. Then, enjoy a pleasant lunch and later return to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco around 17:30 hours.
At 22:00 hours, take an overnight trip from Cusco to Puno on a bus with a 160° tilt seat.

Arrival in Puno: Lake Titicaca - Uros and Amantani Floating Islands Tour
Upon arrival at the Puno bus station (at 5:00 in the morning), you will be greeted by our staff and they will indicate a restaurant for your breakfast.
After breakfast, at 7:30 a.m., begin your Lake Titicaca floating Islands Tour, a brilliant deep blue lake that is home to ancient highland cultures. Stop by the Uros Floating Islands to meet locals dressed in colorful costumes and admire their customs and traditions. Then, head to the beautiful Amantani island to enjoy a homemade lunch while admiring a fantastic view of the lake and the abundant high Andean flora and fauna.

Amantani and Taquile Islands Tour - Puno
Today will be a unique and unforgettable sunrise.
After local breakfast, say goodbye to the locals and board a motor boat to sail towards Taquile Island. Another beautiful island in the middle of the lake, from where you will have a splendid view of the lake that occupies part of the Bolivian and Peruvian territory. At noon, enjoy your homemade lunch and then return to the Puno city. Arrival at 4 p.m.

Recomendations
To make the Lake Titicaca and Machu Picchu 7 Day Tour, you should consider the following:
- Book the Peru 7 Days tour months in advance, especially if you plan to travel between May and September which is high season, therefore, Machu Picchu and Train tickets tend to sell out quickly. Especially if you plan to climb to the Huayna Picchu mountain top.
- Make sure your flight arrives at Cusco’s Velasco Astete airport before 11:00 am. This is to be in time to do the Cusco city tour.
- Let us know if you have any mishaps or delays upon arrival in Cusco.
- Before and upon arrival in Cusco, take pills for altitude sickness (soroche). In your hotel in Cusco also drink the coca leaves infusion, it will help you acclimatize better and not feel much annoying headache, dizziness and vomiting.
- In Cusco and Puno, in the morning and at night, use warm clothes. Especially on the Rainbow Mountain hike.
- To travel by train to Machu Picchu, leave your heavy suitcases in the luggage room of your hotel in Cusco. The train company only allows you to travel with personal luggage. If you wish to travel with your heavy luggage, you will have to pay a supplement to the train company and go through a long process to send it by freight train.
- Carry money in soles (PEN). As you go deeper into Peru, you will see beautiful handmade things by the locals and take them as souvenirs or gifts, the locals will be so grateful.

We have 2 types of tours: Group and private tour. Prices are expressed in US dollars (US$), per person and double or triple room in a 3-star hotel. If you prefer a single room, you will have to pay a supplement per night.

Option One: Semi-Private Tour
Lake Titicaca and Machu Picchu 7 Day Group Tour Price
Cusco and Puno 7 Day Semi-Private Tour or Group Tour. In this option you will join a group of 20 or more people for the tours in Cusco and Puno and also for the transfer from Ollantaytambo train station to Cusco.
Transfers from airport – hotel – airport and hotel – bus station – hotel will be in private. Also the 2-hour tour in Machu Picchu will be in private due to the different routes and schedules.
Important: The price is based on a double or triple room. If you are a single traveler, you must add USD 210 for a single room and transfers.
