To start the tour Maras Moray and Chinchero, Machupicchu Andes Tours staff will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco at 8:30 am. Then, we will take a 40 minute ride in a tourist mobility to the Chinchero picturesque village. Here we will visit a family home where well-organized and trained women will demonstrate the entire textile process of the Inca empire (if you like some handmade garments, you can buy them. The purchase is totally optional).

Then we will continue our journey to the Maras salt mines. Here you will see more than 4000 small wells filled with salt water and some in the solidification process. This salt mine is of vital importance as it contributes economically to the families of the various communities of Maras.

Finally, we will go to the Maras archaeological site. It is the Inca agricultural experimental centre formed by superimposed terraces in a circular shape. Each of the terraces has different microclimates where different types of plants were acclimatized.

Our tour Maras Moray and Chinchero will end in Cusco at 2:30 pm.

Note: Only on the private tour, we visit the Chinchero agricultural terraces and the colonial church..
