Our climate is formed by the Rainy Season (November - March) and the Dry or Sunny Season (April - October). Machu Picchu is located in a tropical zone so the climate is warm and humid.  Ollantaytambo Station: 1 hour 40 minutes by bus from Cusco.
Minimum Cost: S/15.00 to S/ 20.00 soles one way. Daily bus departures (every 30 minutes).

BY BUS: There are several types of buses from the smallest to the largest, offering the same service. For this option you need at least 2 days of travel, since the bus takes approximately 6 hours, from Cusco to Hidroeléctrica. Starting the first bus from the Quillabamba terminal, to the town of Santa Maria to take another bus to Santa Teresa and then to Hidroeléctrica.
From Hidroeléctrica you can take a train that will take you to the town of Machupicchu (Aguas Calientes), or you can walk for 2 hours and 30 minutes along the railroad. When you arrive to Machu Picchu town you will have to look for your accommodation, so the next day you can go up to Machu Picchu town, in a Consettur Campania bus, for 25 minutes to the main gate of Machu Picchu. The other option is to walk 1 hour and 30 minutes from the town of Machupicchu (Aguas Calientes) to Machu Picchu.
To return the same method is used, buses leave Hidroeléctrica at 14:00 hours to Cusco.
BY TREKKING: You can do different treks on different days, observing nature, feeling the climatic changes that our geography offers.
Do routes like the Traditional Inca Trail 4D/3N, with varieties like the Salkantay 5D/4N, Lares 4D/3N, enjoying the thermal baths in the Inca Jungle Route 4D/3N, all these ending the visit in the City of Machupicchu, having train and bus return.5. Both companies Perú Raíl or Inca Raíl, allow you to take hand luggage, no more than 5 kilos or 11 pounds. If you wish to carry extra luggage, you will have to pay a separate transfer fee, which is not advisable to carry too much luggage, since you will only spend one night in the town of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes).

There are all kinds of lodging establishments with different categories, of which one can have availability. But in the high season (April to September), it is advisable to book a week in advance. We can help you with some recommendations.

During your excursions, you can leave your luggage at the Hotel, because they have a warehouse called "storage", where you can leave all your belongings that you do not need at the moment. It is free of charge and when you return you can pick it up with complete peace of mind.
