DAY 1

Arrival in Cusco and City Tour.

Upon arrival at the Cusco airport in the morning, one of our hosts will welcome you and escort you on your transfer and check-in at the hotel. After noon, together with your professional tour guide, embark on an exciting and unique 6-hour tour and discover the most emblematic places inside and outside the Imperial City.

Visit the Main Square preceded by the statue of the ninth emperor of the Inca empire and Incredible Jesuit and Cathedral churches. Then, stroll inside the Cathedral and admire the beautiful religious decoration of precious metals and wood. Afterwards, visit the temple of the Sun or Qorikancha (golden enclosure), the administrative, religious, military and astronomical center at the incas time. Later, leave the city to visit Sacsayhuaman fortress and take a look at the mysterious polygonal style cyclopean walls with perfect inlays and finally return to your hotel.

DAY 2

Cusco - Tour to Machu Picchu - Cusco

Today, take a full day tour to Machu Picchu, humanity cultural and natural heritage and wonder of the world.

Our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 3:45 am, then you will be transferred by tourist minibus to Ollantaytambo train station. Take the 6:10 am train and make a breathtaking journey through the Urubamba River valley surrounded by huge mountains until you reach Machu Picchu village (Aguas Calientes).

Upon arrival to the Aguas Calientes town Train station, you will be greeted by one of our hosts and professional tour guide who will escort you on your Machu Picchu tour, the lost city of the Incas. Passing the Machu Pichu checkpoint, head to the lookout point (watchman’s house), from where you can enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view of Machu Picchu in perfect harmony with nature. Also take excellent photographs that will immortalize your experience and then, walk through urban area highlights.

After the Machu Picchu Inca citadel tour, catch the bus to the Aguas Calientes town and have lunch on your own. Later (2:55pm, 3:20pm, or 6:20pm), take your return train to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, be greeted by our staff, and continue your trip back in a tourist minibus to Cusco city.

What is the best time to visit Machu Picchu?

The best time is from April to November, it is the dry season, sunny and blue-sky months. If you plan to visit Machu Picchu in June, July and August, keep in mind that this is the tourism high season in Machu Picchu – Cusco – Peru. Book your trip 3 or 4 months in advance.

From what time and until what time can I enter Machu Picchu?

You can enter Machu Picchu from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., but you can stay until 5:30 p.m., which is the main gate closing time.

How much luggage can I take on the train to Machu Picchu?

Traveling by train to Machu Picchu is only allowed with hand luggage and this should not exceed 30 liters in capacity. It is recommended that you leave your heavy luggage at your hotel in Cusco, otherwise, you will have to pay a surcharge on the cargo train.

Is it possible to reschedule the Machu Picchu tour?
