A Luxury train run from Cusco to Machu Picchu, crossing the Sacred Valley with a brief stop in Ollantaytambo. Trip that includes an open-air carriage, live classical music, snacks, drinks, cocktails, gourmet lunch and dinner. Guided visit to Machu Picchu in the afternoon hours when it is uncongested.
We have departures from Cusco on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays & Sundays. On Fridays and Mondays, the Hiram Bingham luxury train does not make the trip.

Escorted by our host, begin your epic journey from your hotel in Cusco in a tourist van to the Poroy or Rio Sagrado luxury train station. Then, aboard a luxury train to Machu Picchu, embark on a unique and unforgettable journey and discover the lost city of the Incas. In the afternoon, board your luxury train to return from Machu Picchu to the Poroy or Rio Sagrado train station. Upon arrival, you will be met and accompanied by our host to your hotel in Cusco.

After enjoying the breakfast at your Cusco hotel. Take the luxury train to Machu Picchu.
Our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 8:00 hours. Then, you will be transferred by tourist minivan to the luxury train station in Poroy or Rio Sagrado. Before boarding your train, you will be greeted by a typical Cusco dance and then embark on your luxury train ride to Machu Picchu escorted by a professional tour guide on board.
As you travel, from the exclusive observatory or the open-air carriage, enjoy the incomparable scenery of colorful small villages, cultivated pampas, the Urubamba River Valley and the Andean mountain range. Enjoy live classical music while tasting Peruvian appetizers and cocktails, especially Pisco sour. In the restaurant car, enjoy gourmet Peruvian food with Andean ingredients.
Upon arrival at Machupicchu village (better known as Aguas Calientes) at 12:24 hours, escorted by your tour guide, board a 25-minute charter bus (exclusive bus for all those traveling on the luxury train) to Machu Picchu Inca citadel. Passing the checkpoint, head to the lookout point (watchman’s house), from where you can enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of Machu Picchu in perfect harmony with nature. Take excellent photographs that will immortalize your experience and then tour the urban area highlights.
After your tour, at 3:40 p.m., while using the Wi-Fi, have a cup of tea and enjoy the delicious snacks and desserts at the luxurious Tinkuy restaurant by Belmond Sanctuary Lodge hotel. Then at 4:00 pm, board the bus down to Aguas Calientes town and at 5:50 pm, start your return trip on the luxury train from Aguas Calientes to Poroy or Rio Sagrado train station. Upon arrival (21:15 hours), you will be met and escorted by our staff on your return trip by tourist minibus to the city of Cusco – Hotel.
Note: The railway company PeruRail, every year during the rainy season for safety and maintenance measures, restricts the departures of all frequencies from Poroy station, including The Belmond Hiram Bingham luxury train. From January 2 to April 30, the Bimodal Service, which combines bus and train, is in operation. During this period, for the Belmond Hiram Bingham luxury train, the transfer point will be the Belmond Rio Sagrado hotel, located in the Sacred Valley. Private buses will leave the Wanchaq Cusco station at 7:20 am, the luxury train will leave the Rio Sagrado hotel at 9:40 hours and arrive in Aguas Calientes at 12:24 hours.
