1-Day Itinerary of the Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain, Raqchi, and 4 lagoons.

Get ready to explore the new and impressive tourist circuit in Cusco!

At 4:30 in the morning, the professional guide, and private mobility will pass by your hotel in Cusco. Then, start a 3-hour trip to Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain, but first, stop at Cusipata for a healthy breakfast. Continue your journey to the 7-color mountain, walk for 30 minutes, and enjoy unique and incredible panoramic views. Also, you will see hundreds of South American camelids.

Then, take your private mobility and visit The archaeological site of Raqchi and admire the impressive construction of the 14th century.

The detailed itinerary of the Ausangate Hike 3 days

Day 1: Cusco – Tinki – Upis.

To start the Ausangate trek 3 days, leave the city of Cusco at 7:00 a.m., then travel by private bus to the south of the city of Cusco. On this 3 and a half hour trip, you will pass through the beautiful small towns, Urcos, Ocongate, Tinki and finally reach the community of Upis, located on the slopes of the Ausangate mountain.

After your first lunch, you will have free time to take a walk around the Ausangate lagoon. If you are well prepared physically, you can climb the glacier until you reach perpetual snow (5,300 meters / 17,388 feet). To reach perpetual snow, you do not need climbing equipment; you can only arrive with trekking shoes because the snow is in a very accessible place. Just in case, the tour guide will take a crampon and a rope.

Later, relax in the hot springs and enjoy your dinner (6:30 p.m.)

To start today’s activity. You’ll wake up at 5:00 a.m. with coca tea in your store and at 5:30 a.m., have an energetic breakfast. Then, start walking uphill to Puka Qocha (red lagoon), where you will enjoy your healthy lunch with beautiful views: stone forests, small freshwater streams, picturesque lagoons, and steep snow-capped mountains.

After your delicious lunch, continue your journey to the Ananta camp, where you will spend your second night of the Ausangate trek 3-day trek plus red valley. In the same way, this part of your adventure will be unique, since you will pass to the second highest point, the Chillca Pass. From where you will have the splendid beauty of nature. You will also see hundreds of South American Camelids (Vicuñas, Alpacas, and Llamas) and, finally, you will arrive at the Ananta camp.

To be the first to arrive at this colorful place, have breakfast at 5:30 am, then cross the Warmisaya Pass (4985 meters / 00 feet). From here, on the horizon, you can see the Rainbow Mountain or the Mountain of 7 colors.

You try to reach the rainbow mountain before 9:00 a.m. and also before the crowd arrive by bus from Cusco. When you get to the viewpoint, take excellent pictures without tourists. After 9:00 a.m., this place is full, more than a thousand tourists visit every day, by then, you will already be going towards the red valley, which is another fantastic place.

After appreciating the natural beauty, you will begin to descend to the Chilliwani community, where your private minivan will be waiting for you to take you to the city of Cusco.

First, our staff will welcome you at the Cusco airport and escort you to your hotel. Take your time off until 1:20 p.m., It is advisable to drink coca leaves infusion to avoid altitude sickness.

At 1:20 p.m., we will start a 5 and a half hour tour, which will take us to explore the most visited places inside and outside the city of Cusco. First, we will visit the Cathedral where we will admire the religious ornamentation; then, we will continue walking through the narrow streets of Cusco to the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha) where we will observe the beauty and the perfect harmony of the religious syncretism.

Upon arrival in the city of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes), company staff will welcome us and escort us to the bus station that will take us to the main gate of the Inca city of Machupicchu. Together with our tour guide, we will visit the lost city of the Incas, marvel at the perfection of the construction and discover the history behind it.

Day 1. Cusco – Mollepata – Humantaypampa.

To start the exclusive Salkantay trek 4-day to Machu Picchu. Our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 4:30 a.m., then travel for 2 hours in private mobility to Mollepata, where you will have an energetic breakfast.

Then, continue your trip 40 minutes more to Challakancha and start the hike for 2 and a half hours to Humantaypampa which is the place where you will spend your first camping night. After lunch, take a 3-hour hike to the Humantay Lagoon. There, you will appreciate the beautiful views of the green lagoon with snow-clad mountain background.

At 5:30 pm. hot drink hour, at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy your dinner and spend your first-night camping.

Day 2. Humantaypampa – Huayracmachay – Challhuay – Playa Sahuayaco.

Today will be an arduous day because you will pass to the highest, coldest point and also you will travel at a local microbus.

Have your breakfast at 5:30 a.m., then start walking towards the highest point of the Salkantay Exclusive Walk 4 days (4630 meters / 15,190 feet). From the highest point, you will enjoy excellent panoramic views of snow-capped mountains and also deep valleys full of vegetation. After all, start to descend towards Huayracmachay where you will enjoy a delicious lunch.

After lunch, continue descendent through the rainforest to Challhuay, from where you will travel in local mobility for 1 hour to Sahuayaco beach, is the place where you will spend the second camping night.

At 5:40 pm hot drink time, at 6:40 p.m. dinner inside the humid jungle.

Day 3. Playa Sahuayaco – Llaqtapata archeological site – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes.

Today will be an unforgettable, unique and wonderful day because you will explore the best part of the Salkantay trek 4-day through Llaqtapata. It is a virgin and unknown place by trekkers, guides and travel companies.

To start hiking through this beautiful Inca road through Llaqtapata. Breakfast at 6:00 a.m., then, take the recently discovered Inca trail toward the archaeological site of Llaqtapata. As you go up, you will have breathtaking panoramic views, even more so when you are in Llaqtapata, because to the distance, you will be able to see the Inca city of Machu Picchu between the peaks of the high Andes Mountains. After marveling, descend to the hydroelectric plant where you will enjoy your last lunch prepared by the expedition cook.

After lunch, say goodbye to the cook and other members of the expedition. Then you will have 2-option to get to Machu Picchu town (Aguas Calientes). The first option is to walk by the railway for 3 hours. The second option is to travel by train for 40 minutes (train tickets can be purchased in the same place or with us).

Today you will visit Machu Picchu, which is the final destination of your expedition. To get to this sacred place, you have 2 alternatives.

  • First alternative. Travel by bus for 25 minutes.
  • Second alternative. Walking for 1 and a half hour.

In both alternatives, you must be at the main gate of the Inca city of Machu Picchu at the indicated time on your ticket. Within the city of Machu Picchu, make a walk of 2 and a half hours together with your tour guide. Your tour guide will take you to all the places of great importance and will explain everything about this enigmatic Inca city.

After finishing the circuit. Go down to the town of Aguas Calientes. You also have two options: You can catch the bus or walk. Once in the village, have lunch on your own and in the afternoon, at the time indicated on your train ticket, go to the station. Board your return train to the Ollantaytambo or Poroy station. DAY 1: Cusco – Km 82 – Wayllabamba

At 6:00 am. Then, show your passport and the ticket at the checkpoint. Continue your expedition on a gentle trail until Wayllabamba camp, which is located at 3,050 meters / 10,006 feet. Today is the most challenging day of the Classic Inka Trail because you will cross the highest point of the hike.

Take your breakfast at 6:00 a.m. Then start the 5-hour hike until you reach the highest point commonly called Warmiwañusca (dead woman), which is at an altitude of 4200 meters / 13779 feet. Therefore, you will have incredible views of the eastern cordillera of the Andes. Then, continue your journey along a beautiful stone path to the Pacaymayo camp. After lunch, take a relaxing break. After the healthy dinner, spend your second night camping next to a small stream.

Descend gradually to the lunch spot, visiting the small archaeological sites. After a short rest, continue downhill for 2 hours until Wiñayhuayna, place of the last night of camping and in the afternoon, explore the archaeological complex.

Then, immediately, start walking with your leader at 4:30 a.m. follow a path that crosses a humid forest full of flora and fauna to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku). From where you can enjoy incredible panoramic views of the Inca city of Machupicchu. Then, descend to the town and explore for 2 hours together with your expert tour guide.

After all, take the bus to the city of Aguas Calientes. Lunch at any restaurant on your own. Then head to the Aguas Calientes train station to board your return train to Poroy station (train departure at 3:20 p.m.), where our staff will be waiting for you to escort you to the city of Cusco – Hotel.

To begin Tour Maras Moray and Chinchero, we will pass by your hotel at 8:30 am. Then, we will go to the picturesque town of Maras and its salt mine, where we will observe the process of selection and collection of salt in its more than 4000 small wells.

We will begin our trip with the pick you up from your hotel at 8:20 a.m., and we will visit the following places.

Pisac

It is one of the most important archaeological sites within the Sacred Valley of the Incas, located on the slopes of the mountain 33 kilometers from the city of Cusco, composed of large agricultural terraces.

The local market of Pisaq. It is the clear evidence of living culture, where you will able to see the natives of many Andean communities dressed in their typical costumes, and you will also have the option of buying handicrafts made by them.

Urubamba

We will continue our journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to Urubamba, located northwest of Cusco. This is the very fertile valley where the best corn in the world is grown (white corn) and the place of our delicious buffet lunch.

Ollantaytambo

After lunch, we will visit Ollantaytambo. Located 90 km. from Cusco city. It is a village and Inca archaeological site where we can see the old buildings inhabited by the current inhabitants.

Chinchero

Later, we will return to Chinchero. Located at 28 km. from Cusco city. It was the real estate of Tupac Inca Yupanqui, where we can see in detail the process of the Inca textile industry (spinning, dyeing, and weaving) and also the huge agricultural terraces.

For the combined tour of Cusco or also called City tour Cusco we have 2 service options.

At 3:40 am, our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to take you to Ollantaytambo train station. Then you will travel by train to the start of the Short Inca Trail, KM – 104 of the railroad, where you will through the control together with your authorized official guide for the Short Inca Path.

Start to enjoy your adventure first visiting the archaeological site of Chachabamba, then continue on an ascending path until you reach Wiñaywayna, another beautiful archeological center strategically located. Here take a short break to enjoy your cold lunch and then continue among the humid forest enjoying the abundance of biodiversity (flora and fauna) until you reach the highest point of the route, sun gate (2,720 meters / 8,922 feet).

Detailed Itinerary

Inca Trail Trek 1 Day: Cusco – Km 104 – Machu Picchu – Cusco.

To start the one day Inca Trail Hike, our staff will stop by your hotel at 3:40 am to pick you up and take you in a minibus to the Ollantaytambo train station, where you will board the train to the railroad’s km-104.

Then, you will pass the checkpoint along with your leader and start enjoying your adventure. First, visit the archaeological site of Chachabamba, then continue the 3-hour trek to the Wiñaywayna archaeological site, where you will have plenty of time to photograph and have lunch.

After the short break, continue your hike enjoying the abundance of biodiversity to the highest point of the 1-day Inca Trail Trek, Sun gate (2,720 meters / 8,922 feet). From where you will have beautiful panoramic views of the Inca city of Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu.

To start this beautiful one day adventure. At 8:00 am. Our professional tour guide and mobility will pass through your hotel in Cusco. Then, get away from the bustling city in the destination to the Chonta Canyon.

On the way, enjoy excellent panoramic views of deep valleys formed by rugged mountains, snow-capped mountains and also visit the archaeological site of Killarumiyoc. It was a temple dedicated to the Moon (mother moon) and there you will able to admire the master sculpture in half moon shape worked on a single rock. Continue your trip to Tarawasi. Detailed Itinerary of the Lares Trek 4 days to Machu Picchu

First Day: Cusco – Lares – Wakawasi.

To start the Lares trek 4 days to Machu Picchu, at 6:00 a.m., our expert team will go through your hotel in Cusco. Then start a trip in a private minibus to the town of Lares. While traveling for 3 hours, enjoy the stunning scenery because you will cross the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the Vilcabamba mountain range.

In Lares village, relax in the hot springs and enjoy your delicious lunch. After lunch, start the hike up an ascending road to the Wakawasi camp. You will spend the first night camping near the Quechua speaking community. You can interact with them – dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Second day: Wakawasi – Ipsay Pass – Ipsayqocha – Patakancha.

On this second day of Lares Trek to Machu Picchu, the route cook will wake you up with coca tea. After breakfast, start the uphill hike to the highest point of the classic Lares hike 4-day, Ipsay highest pass (4,350 meters / 14,271 feet) from where you will have spectacular views of the snow-capped mountains of Pitusiray, Sawasiray, and Veronica. You will also enjoy the most amazing Andean landscapes as you walk along the slopes of the hills and in the small agricultural areas where the natives still employ traditional ways of life, a place where the Spanish language is their second language.

Enjoy your comforting lunch on the shore of the Ipsayqocha (Ipsay Lagoon), an excellent place to relax and breathe fresh air. Then, continue descending towards Patakancha, where you will spend the second night of camping. Patakancha is an Inca descendant community where you can see the villagers with their beautiful and colorful costumes types.

Third Day: Patakancha – Yanahuara Viewpoint – Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes)

Today, you will wake up in a small colorful town that preserves the living culture, a natural area where Andean families continue to produce their own costumes, raising their own animals and believing in their own gods.

After breakfast, start walking along a smooth path to the Yanahuara viewpoint, from where you will have a beautiful panoramic view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Then down a zigzag road to the track, where your mobility will be waiting to take you to the lunch place, Ollantaytambo. Afterward, visit the Inca city, it is the only place where the current people continue to use the Inca enclosures as homes. Also, visit along with your tour leader to the archaeological site and admire the perfection of the work, sacred precincts, and the impressive hydraulic system.

In the afternoon, board your train to Machu Picchu, better known as Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the third night in a lodging establishment. Your train will depart at 16:36 or 19:04 hours (Train times may vary, depending on availability)

Aguas Calientes is a modern small city where you can find all the amenities such as the internet, restaurants, bars, ATMs and souvenir shops.

Fourth Day: Visit Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco.

Today is your last day and highly awaited of the famous Lares trek 4 days. Have your breakfast at the hotel, then go up and explore the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu escorted by your tour guide. The tour is 2 and a half hours long; First climb to the viewpoint from where you will have the panoramic view of the city of Machu Picchu, descend to the urban area and discover all its hidden secrets.

At the end of your tour, go up to Huaynapicchu or Machu Picchu Mountain on your own*. After all, catch the bus to go down to the Aguas Calientes town and have lunch on your own. Later, head towards the train station, take your return train to the Ollantaytambo or Poroy station. Upon your arrival, our staff will be waiting for you to escort you to your hotel in Cusco.

Huchuy Qosqo hike to Machu Picchu 3 days

First Day: Cusco – Taucca Community – Huchuy Qosqo archeological site.

At 6:30 am, start your trip in a private mobility to the community of Taucca – Chinchero. Visit an artisan association formed by families from the same community. They will demonstrate the South American Camelids wool process (vicuña, alpaca, llama, and guanaco) like spinning, dyeing, and weaving and if you like some of the fabrics, you can buy that will be of great help to the community (purchase Optional).

After the exhibition, start with an uphill hike following an original Inca trail to Huchuy Qosqo, admire the beautiful views of the Andes Mountain Range and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Also, admire the small canyon known as the lion’s door formed by huge rocks and finally see the impressive view of the archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo.

After an arduous and pleasant walk, you will spend the night in the heights of the Sacred Valley of the Incas in a lodge of a local family or in tents on the terraces of Huchuy Qosqo (depend on you).

Today you will wake up in the heights of the Sacred Valley of the Incas with breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains and the Urubamba River.

At 6:30 a.m., energy breakfast time. Then he explores extensively the palace of the eighth ruler of the Inca Empire. Walk through its extensive agricultural terraces, houses, and warehouses that are still standing. See also the hydraulic system of consumption and irrigation.

After exploring with your tour leader, begin to descend in a zigzag to the town of Lamay, where your private mobility will be waiting for you to take you to the city of Urubamba. Itinerario detallado del Tour a Choquequirao

Día 1: Cusco – Capuliyoc – Rosaspata

Lo recogeremos de su hotel en Cusco a las 4 a.m., y viajará en nuestro autobús privado con su guía turístico y conducirá aproximadamente cuatro horas hasta llegar al comienzo del sendero, llamado Capuliyoc. Desde aquí, las vistas de los nevados son hermosas, después de una hermosa foto grupal, comenzará la increíble expedición a Choquekirao. Será una caminata de descenso de cuatro horas con algunas paradas hasta llegar al lugar de su primer almuerzo. Día 2. Rosaspata – Choquequirao

Detailed Itinerary – Traditional Salkantay trek 5-day to Machu Picchu.

FIRST DAY: Cusco – Soraypampa – Humantay Lagoon.

To start this fantastic 5-day trek. At 4:00 a.m., our staff will go through your hotel in Cusco. Then, you will journey for 2-hour until Mollepata town, where you will have breakfast. Continue your trip to Challakancha, the starting point of the hike, where you will also meet the muleteers who will be in charge of transporting the camping equipment.

While walking, enjoy spectacular views of the Andes mountain range. At noon, try the delights of our professional chef. In the afternoon, make a short hike to the Humantay lagoon (4100 meters /13.452 feet), admire the beauty of the landscape and take excellent photographs.

At 6:30 pm, dinner, and lodging at the Soraypampa camp.

SECOND DAY: Soraypampa – Salkantay Highest Pass – Chaullay

Today, you will dawn among the huge snow-capped mountains. At 5:40 am, have your breakfast and then start the uphill hike to the highest point of the classic Salkantay trek 5-day to Machu Picchu. From Salkantay highest pass, you will admire the majesty of the Salkantay mountain (Apu = sacred mountain) and also visit blue lagoon. Then start to descend to Wayracpunku and take a short break to enjoy the energetic lunch.

After lunch, continue descending to the tropical forest, where you will appreciate the richness of the biodiversity (flora and fauna) and finally arrived at the Chaullay campsite.

At 6:30 pm. Dinner and overnight in campsite tents.

THIRD DAY: Chaullay – Playa Sahuayaco Village – Llaqtapata Archaeological site.

After the delicious breakfast, start walking among the tropical forest, commonly referred to the as high jungle. This part of your adventure is considered one of the best sections because you can see varieties of wild and domestic vegetation such as orchids, begonias, coffee plantations, bananas, oranges and more.

After 5-hour hiking, take your short time to have lunch in Playa Sahuayaco. Then continue on a beautiful original Inca trail ascending towards the Llaqtapata camp. It is the best camp of the classic Salkantay trek 5-day because you will spend the night in front of the Inca city of Machu Picchu, you will appreciate the beautiful sunset and sunrise, without a doubt, you will have the beautiful panoramic views. If you are birds, mammals, and orchids lovers, this is the best place to be with them.

At night, they will make a bonfire with all the members of the expedition; if the night is starry, you will be able to see the Inca constellations.

FOURTH DAY: Llaqtapata – Hydroelectric – Machupicchu town (Aguas Calientes)

This morning will be fantastic because you will have magical views of the first rays of the sun that will illuminate the top of the Huaynapicchu Mountain and the Inca city of Machu Picchu.

After your energy breakfast, explore the archaeological site of the small Inca city of Llaqtapata. It is still covered in its 80% with vegetation and around it, you can observe the diversity of flora and fauna. If you are lucky, you can see the spectacled bear or the Andean bear.

After all, begin to descend a zigzag path to the hydroelectric plant, where you will have your last lunch, and then you will say goodbye to the muleteers and cook.

From the Hydroelectric Power Station you have two options to get to Machu Picchu Pueblo: the first option, to walk by the railroad for 3 hours (we do not recommend because there are many small stones in the route). The second option is to travel by train around 48 minutes (train departure time 2:17 or 2:50 hours).

Once you arrive at Machu Picchu Pueblo, settle into your hotel and at 6:30 pm enjoy your last dinner.

FIFTH DAY: Machu Picchu town (Aguas Calientes) – Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco.

Today is such an important day because you will visit one of the 7 wonders of the world, Machu Picchu.

Have breakfast at the hotel and go to the Inca city of Machu Picchu for the assigned shift, you can go by bus or walk. The guided tour within the lost city of the Incas will last 2 and a half hours and if you have reserved the permit to climb to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain. After the excursion, you can go up on your own.

After all, take the bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, have lunch on your own and then head towards the train station. Take your return train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy in Cusco. Upon your arrival, our staff will be waiting for you to escort you to the city of Cusco – Hotel.

The detailed itinerary of Ausangate Trek 5 days & The 7-color mountain

First Day: Cusco – Tinki – Pajchanta (4,320 meters / 14,173 feet) – Qomerqocha (4,590 meters / 15,059 feet).

To start this beautiful adventure. The professional guide specialized in trekking assigned by the Matours Agency will pass by your hotel in Cusco at 7:00 a.m., then travel in a private van to Pajchanta community. Before your first lunch and hiking, relax in the thermal medicinal waters.

In the afternoon, start 2 and a half hour hike to the Qomerqocha Lagoon. Lagoon located between huge snow-clad mountains, also place where you will have enough time to take excellent photographs, and you will spend your first night of camping.

Second Day. Qomerqocha – Paso Jhampa (5,010 meters / 16,437 feet) – Huchuy Phinaya (4,510 meters / 14,793 feet).

Today, you will wake up between the enormous snow-capped mountains and with breathtaking panoramic views. Take your first fantastic breakfast at 6:00 a.m. then, begin to ascend following an ancient path at a slow pace to Jhampa pass. From where you will have beautiful panoramic views of the snow-clad mountains chain. Then, begin to descend to Jhampa Pampa, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch. After, continue downhill for 2 and a half hours through a deep valley full of alpacas and llamas until you reach Huchuy Phinaya, where you will spend the second night of camping.

Third Day: Huchuy Phinaya – Palomani Pass (5,210 m / 17,010 ft) – Ausangate Qocha – Ananta (4,650 m / 15,252 ft)

Today, you will wake up in the foothills of the highest mountain in the Cusco region, Ausangate (6,370 meters) and you will also pass to the highest point of the entire Ausangate trek 5-day, the Palomani Pass.

Have your breakfast at 6:00 a.m. then, start climbing towards the Palomani pass, from where you will enjoy splendid views in 360°, you will also have a breathtaking view of the Sacred Mountain (Inca’s time) and in the tour, you will be able to witness vicuñas in their natural habitat at more than 5 thousand meters of altitude.

After admiring the beauty of nature, begin to descend to Ausangate Qocha where you will enjoy a delicious lunch. Then continue with the gentle hike to Ananta where you will spend your third night of the expedition.

As always, at 5:30 p.m. You will enjoy a hot drink and at 6:30 p.m. will have dinner.

Today is a crucial day because you will visit the busiest and most colorful place of this Ausangate trek 5 days.

To be the first tourists to visit the 7-color mountain, take your breakfast at 5:30 a.m. and start walking at 6 in the morning. The hike will take you 2 and a half hours to the rainbow mountain and when you get to the viewpoint, take excellent pictures and finally return by same way to the Ananta camp where our expedition cook will be waiting for you with an energetic lunch.

After lunch, at approximately 2 p.m. complete the second part of today’s walk to the Yana Qocha camp. While you walk along this stretch, nature will not fail to surprise you, from Chillca step you will have impressive views of colorful lagoons and behind them will be the Ausangate Mountain.

As usual at 5:30 p.m., enjoy your hot drink and dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Itinerario detallado de Inca  Jungle trail – Aventura total

Primer Día.- Cusco – Santa Maria (bicicleta)

Para iniciar Inca Jungle Trail Aventura Total, pasaremos a recogerlo de su hotel a las 6 am, luego viajaremos en bus por tres horas.

Durante el viaje, observaremos los atractivos naturales y culturales del valle sagrado de los incas hasta llegar al Abra Málaga (4,316 m.s.n.m / 14,157 pies) punto mas elevado. Desde aquí iniciaremos a descender en bicicletas por 3 horas hacia la ceja de la selva amazónica, pasando pequeños pueblos, campos frutales, ríos y sectores agrícolas.

Llegaremos a una pequeña zona arqueológica de Huamanmarca, un lugar hermoso para tomarse fotos, luego continuaremos hasta el pueblo de Santa María y aquí pasaremos nuestra primera noche en una casa familiar.

Cuando lleguemos a este lugar primero almorzaremos y por la tarde haremos el canotaje (Opcional) por 1 hora con 20 minutos en el Río Urubamba y más noche tendremos la cena.

Segundo Día.- Santa María – Santa Teresa (caminata)

A partir de las 6:00 am tomaremos nuestro desayuno ligero, luego comenzaremos a caminar río arriba siguiendo un camino inca original totalmente cerrado con vegetación, aquí podremos ver plantaciones de frutas, coca, café, achote, etc. y un pequeño tramo del camino nos llevara hasta el punto más alto del recorrido, desde donde podremos apreciar todo el valle y la pendiente del cañón.

Después de larga aventura, llegaremos al pueblo de Quellomayo donde tendremos nuestro delicioso almuerzo. Pasando el almuerzo continuaremos la caminata por 4 horas más hasta llegar a las refrescantes aguas termales de Cocalmayo que esta a 10 minutos en carro del pueblo de Santa Teresa, pueblo donde cenaremos y pasaremos la segunda noche de nuestra aventura total

Tercer Día: Santa Teresa – Machu Picchu Pueblo (Caminata)

Después de nuestro desayuno, tenemos dos opciones para llegar a Central Hidroeléctrica.

Primero. Podemos realizar la actividad de la tirolesa (Opcional), al finalizar la actividad tendremos un autobús que nos llevara a Central Hidroeléctrica.

segunda opción. ir caminando aproximadamente por dos horas y media hasta Central Hidroeléctrica apreciando los paisajes rodeados de montañas cubiertas de vegetación.

Llegando a hidroeléctrica, tendremos un almuerzo confortable para poder continuar con nuestra caminata hasta el pueblo de Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), iremos por las orillas del río Urubamba siguiendo la vía férrea.

En Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) nos acomodaremos en nuestras habitaciones y mas tarde tendremos la ultima cena.

Cuarto Día: Machu Picchu – Cusco (caminata y visita de la ciudad inca)

Hoy es el último día de Inca Jungle Trail aventura total y también es el día más importante en nuestra travesía, porque llegaremos a nuestro patrimonio mixta cultura y natural de la humanidad “Machu Picchu”. Para lo cual, nos levantaremos muy temprano y 04:30 a.m. Comenzaremos la caminata de una hora y media hasta llegar a la Ciudad de Machu Picchu.

En caso de que no se camine se puede tomar el autobús de Aguas Calientes a Machu Picchu que nos tomara 25 minutos.

Trataremos ser el primer grupo en entrar a esta maravilla del mundo moderno, teniendo así la oportunidad de ver el amanecer.

Iniciaremos la visita por el mirador de donde se toman las fotografías clásicas y nosotros seremos los primeros en tomar cuando Machu Picchu este vacío. Luego bajaremos al área urbana para visitar a todos los recintos de mucha importancia, después de 2 horas tendremos tiempo libre para seguir explorando por nuestra cuenta o subir a las montañas y mas tarde en la hora oportuna bajaremos al pueblo de Aguas Calientes (almuerzo opcional) para ir a la estación de tren de retorno a Ollantaytambo.

En la puerta de la estación de Ollantaytambo nos estará esperando nuestra movilidad para llevarnos de vuelta a la ciudad de Cusco – Plaza San francisco.

First Day.

Arrival in Cusco – Visit the City and 4 nearby archaeological sites.

Upon arrival in the city of Cusco, our staff will welcome you and take you to your hotel. You will have the rest of the morning free to acclimatize.

In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the Imperial city. Begin your tour with a visit to the Cathedral, the iconic work of the colonial era; then walk through the original streets of the Inca period until you reach the Temple of the Sun or Qoricancha, where you can appreciate the extraordinary work of masonry. Continue with the tour visiting the 4 archaeological sites, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara, and Tambomachay, be amazed by the megalithic construction and the perfect fit of polygonal rocks. You will also have a spectacular view of the city of Cusco.

Second Day.

Sacred Valley of the Incas and Connection to Machu Picchu town.

Discover the best of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the handicraft market of Pisaq and browse local handicrafts; continue your trip to the top of the mountain where you can see the impressive architectural works. Then, travel along the shore of the Urubamba River and stop in the city of Urubamba to enjoy the Andean buffet. Then, continue your trip to the city of Ollantaytambo. It is the only living Inca city, nowadays the old precincts are still used as houses.

In this place, your tour ends at 4:00 p.m., but you will have the option to continue exploring the archaeological site until 5:00 p.m. While waiting for your train to Machu Picchu town (7:04 pm), you will have enough time to dine. When once you arrive in Machupicchu town, our staff will welcome you and accompany you to your hotel. At 9:10 p.m. you will have a brief meeting with your tour guide to arrange the time of the tour the next day.

Third Day.

Visit Machu Picchu “Enigmatic Inca city” – Cusco

Today he will visit the most important icon of Peru and South America. It is advisable to take the first buses to be in the Inca city before the crowd and have breathtaking views.

Together with your professional guide, start a tour of 2 hours and a half through the enigmatic city of the Incas, you will marvel at the excellent urban planning and the great challenge that the Inca engineers had before the rugged geography of the Andes.

If you booked the entrance ticket to Huaynapicchu or Machupicchu mountain. After the tour, from the top of any of the 2 mountains, you can enjoy the fascinating landscapes (climbing the mountains is optional and on your own).

Fourth Day.

Tour to Salt mines of Maras, Moray, and Chinchero

We will pick you up from your hotel around 8 a.m. and will make a beautiful trip to the salt mines of Maras. On your way, you will see beautiful landscapes full of crops and snow-capped mountains. Finally, observe more than 4,000 small salt wells, where salt is harvested from pre-Inca times to the present.

Continue your trip to the agricultural laboratory in Moray. You will see the fascinating display of circular terraces. Moray has several natural depressions used by the Incas. The ancient inhabitants of this area built gardens in the form of overlapping rings to determine the optimal conditions for growing crops.

Then return to Chinchero. It is a small native Inca town, its main tourist attraction is its colorful market on Sundays and Thursdays but if your trip is not made in one of these days, it has a smaller textile center open every day. There, you can see a demonstration of how to make beautiful natural wool suits from South American Camelids.

At the end of your tour, return to Cusco in time to enjoy a delicious lunch on your own.

Fifth Day.

South Valley Cusco (Tipon – Pikillaqta – Andahuaylillas – Cusco)

Our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 8:45 a.m., then, head south of Cusco with your expert guide. First, visit Tipón. Admire the high quality work of Inca hydraulic engineers and the sophisticated irrigation system. Continue your journey through the fertile valley to Pikillacta. It was one of the most important administrative and religious centers of the pre-Inca Wari culture. Its excellence and perfect urban planning will surprise you. Finally, visit the church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas (Sistine Chapel of America) built in the seventeenth century. Observe the interior, the extraordinary artistic work of the Cusco school.

Finally, return to the city of Cusco in time to enjoy a delicious lunch on your own.

Sixth Day.

Farewell transfer to Cusco airport

Our staff will go through your hotel 2 hours and 20 minutes before the departure of your flight and will escort you to the airport of Cusco. If your flight leaves in the afternoon, you will have free time to explore more to the city of Cusco, visit museums or do some shopping.

Full Day Tour. Cusco – Machupicchu – Cusco.

In the morning, at the right time, you will take a tourist minivan from your hotel in Cusco to the Ollantaytambo or Poroy train station.

The train trip will take you 3 hours or 1 hour and a half, from the Poroy – Machu Picchu station or from Ollantaytambo – Machupicchu train station (Aguas Calientes) respectively.

From Aguas Calientes, catch the bus that will take you in 25 minutes to the Inca city of Machu Picchu and begin to walk for 2 and a half hours by all around the ancient town led by our professional tour guide.

After all, you will descend on the bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch (optional). In the afternoon, you should be half an hour before at the train station to take the train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy station.

Itinerary

Detailed Itinerary of the Classic Journey Cusco Machupicchu 4 Days

Day 01: Reception in Cusco- City tour – 4 Archaeological Sites

First, our staff will welcome you at Cusco airport and be escorted to your hotel. Take your time off until 1:20 p.m. It is advisable to drink coca leaves infusion to avoid altitude sickness.

At 13:20 hours, the start of a 5 and a half hour tour will take you to explore the most visited places in and outside of Cusco. Visit the Cathedral and admire its religious ornamentation. Then, I continued walking through the narrow streets to the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha). Observe the beauty and the perfect harmony of religious syncretism.

Then, get away from the city to visit and discover the 4 archaeological complexes and enjoy the stone masterpiece of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara, and Tambomachay.

Finally, return to the city of Cusco at around 6:00 p.m.

Day 02: Cusco – Sacred Valley of the Incas – Machu Picchu

At 8:20 a.m. start a full day tour through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, in the afternoon take a train to Machupicchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) and spend the night at the foot of the Machupicchu Mountain.

First, visit the local market of Pisaq. It is the clear evidence of living culture, where you can see the natives of many Andean communities dressed in their typical costumes, and you will also have the option of buying handicrafts made by them. Then, climb to the top of the mountain where you can witness the huge Inca buildings.

Continue your trip along the Vilcanota River to the city of Urubamba where you will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. Then, continue to Ollantaytambo another Inca archaeological site, which is the only place in Cusco and Peru where people still use the Inca buildings as homes. At this place, our tour ends at 4:00 pm, but you will have the option to continue exploring the archaeological site until 5:00 pm.

Until 7:04 p.m., which is the departure time of your train from Ollantaytambo station to Machu Picchu town, you will have enough time to drink a cafe or to have dinner. When once you arrive at the Machu Picchu town station, our staff will welcome you and escort you to your hotel. At 9:10 p.m. you will have a brief meeting with your tour guide to arrange the time of the next day’s visit.

Day 03: Machupicchu Tour a full day – Cusco

Today is a dream day and the best of our Classic Cusco Tour package. It is advisable to take the first buses to be in the Inca city of Machupicchu before the crowds arrive and take striking photographs.

Together with your professional guide, start a journey of 2 and a half hours through the enigmatic city of the Incas, you will marvel at the perfection of the construction and the excellent harmony with the topography, discover the secrets behind it and admire the fascinating landscapes.

If you booked the entrance ticket to Huaynapicchu or Machupicchu Mountain, after the tour you will have free time to go on your own. From the top of any of the 2 mountains, enjoy stunning panoramic views (climbing the mountains is optional).

After all, at the right time, take the collective bus to the city of Aguas Calientes and head towards the train station. Departure time of your train from 3:20 p.m. or 6:20 p.m., depending on availability.

Upon arrival at the train station of Ollantaytambo or Poroy in Cusco, our staff and mobility will be waiting for you to escort you to the city of Cusco.

  • Overnight at the selected hotel in Cusco.

Day 04: Farewell transfer to Cusco airport

Two hours and twenty minutes before the departure of your flight, our representative and mobility will go through your hotel to escort you to the airport of Cusco. If your flight departs in the afternoon, you will have free time to explore more to the city of Cusco, visit museums or to buy some souvenirs.

Short Inca Trail 2-Day Summary

Day 1: Cusco – Km 104 – Machu Picchu – Cusco.

  • At 3:40 a.m. Pick up from your hotel in Cusco
  • Train departure from Ollantaytambo station. 6:10 a.m.
  • Hiking start. 8:00 am.
  • A short break to eat our snacks. 11:30 am.
  • Arrival at Machu Picchu. At approximately 15:00 hours.
  • The descent on the bus to Aguas Calientes. 15:30 hours
  • Dinner at a good restaurant in Aguas Caliente. 18:30 pm.
  • Overnight in Aguas Calientes in a 2-star hotel.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Cusco.

  • Today will depend on the group the time of departure from the hotel
  • Journey by bus from Aguas Calientes to Machupicchu 25 minutes
  • Tour with the guide at Machupicchu. 2 and a half hours
  • Return train from Aguas Calientes. 18:20 hours
  • Pick up from the train station at 22:05 hours

Small Inca Path 2-day to Machu Picchu Full Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – km 104 – Machupicchu – Aguas Calientes.

At 3:40 am, our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to take you to Ollantaytambo train station. Then you will journey by train to the start of the Short Inca Trail 2-day, KM – 104 of the railroad, where you will pass the control accompanied by your authorized official guide for the Inca Trail.

Start to enjoy your adventure visiting the archaeological site of Chachabamba, then continue on an ascending path until you reach Wiñaywayna another beautiful archeological center strategically located. Here, take a short break to enjoy your cold lunch and then continue among the humid forest enjoying the abundance of biodiversity (flora and fauna) until you reach the highest point of the route, sun gate (2,720 meters / 8,922 feet).

From Sun gate, appreciate the scenic beauty of the Andes, steep mountains covered with the green and white mantle, deep valleys formed by the Urubamba River. Also, marvel at the first impact of the Inca city of Machupicchu.

After all, go down to the main gate of Machu Picchu to board the bus to Aguas Calientes. At 18:30 hours, your guide will take you to an excellent restaurant for you to enjoy Peruvian food and finally spend the night in a 2-star hotel or in another category.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco.

Today, choose the time you want to leave the hotel. After breakfast, take the bus accompanied by your tour guide to the Inca city of Machu Picchu and explore every corner of the wonderful Inca city along with your expert guide. After 2 and a half hours of travel, on your own, you can go up to Huaynapicchu or Mountain. To climb these Mountains, you must make an extra reservation in advance (It is optional).

Then, take the bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch (on your own), and in the afternoon you have to be at the train station 30 minutes before the time indicated on your train ticket back to the Poroy or Ollantaytambo station. Where our staff will be waiting to take you to the city of Cusco – Hotel.
