1-Day Qeswachaka Bridge Trip – Itinerary

Full Day Trip: Cusco – 4 Lagoons – Pabellon Volcano – Q’eswachaka.

At 4:30 in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. Then we will travel in a van for 2 hours to Cusipata Town, where we will enjoy our homemade breakfast. Then we will continue traveling making brief stops in the circuit of the 4 lagoons (Pomacanchi, Acopia, Asnaqocha, and Panpamarka). They are beautiful Andean lagoons full of wildlife.

After enjoying the beauty and charm of the 4 lagoons, we will visit Tupac Amaru II’s historic house and also stop at the small Pabellon volcano.

Later, we will go ahead to our main destination, the last Inca bridge, called Q’eswachaka. Q’eswachaka means vegetable fiber bridge. In this place, in addition to admiring the living culture, we will enjoy the incredible landscape of the Apurimac River canyon.

Finally, we will return to Cusipata town, where we will enjoy our Andean buffet lunch and then continue the return trip to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco, approximately at 5:30 p.m.

Detailed Itinerary of the 6-Day Cusco Expedition.

Day 1. Welcome reception and City Tour Cusco.

A.M. The moment your flight arrives in Cusco, our host will receive and transfer you to your hotel.

At 1:20 p.m. Take a 6-hour tour that will take you to explore the most exciting places inside and outside the city.

Visit the Cathedral and admire the beautiful religious ornamentation. Then, visit the Temple of the Sun or Qoricancha, observe the beauty and the perfect combination of 2 different cultures (Inca and European).

Later, leave the city to visit the 4 nearby archaeological complexes and enjoy the rock masterpiece of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay, and finally return to your hotel.

Day 2. Tour to the Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu.

At 8.30 a.m. Start your trip to the Sacred Valley and visit the archaeological site and the local Pisaq market. Admire the large agricultural terraces and stroll through the colorful local market. At noon, enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba and then visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo.

At 4:36 p.m. or at 7:04 p.m., take the train from Ollantaytambo station to the city of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, our host will be waiting to escort you to your hotel.

Day 3. Discover Machu Picchu “Wonder of the World”

Take the first buses to the Inca city of Machu Picchu. Accompanied by an excellent professional local guide, explore the lost city of the Incas, marvel at the perfection of the construction, discover the history behind it and admire the fascinating landscapes.

At the end of your tour, take a bus back to the city of Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, take the return train (3:20 pm or 7:00 pm) to Ollantaytambo station. Upon arrival, our staff will also be waiting for you to escort you to the city of Cusco.

Day 4. Humantay Lagoon tour

At 4:30 a.m., depart Cusco and make a brief stop in the city of Mollepata to enjoy an energetic breakfast. Then, descend to the bus station and take your mobility to the city of Mollepata to enjoy a nutritious lunch. Arrival in Cusco at 6:00 pm.

Details of the 4-day Ausangate Hike Tour and Rainbow Mountain.

DAY 01. Cusco – Tinki – Pajchanta – Pachaspata.

To begin the 4-day Ausangate hike tour, our private mobility will pass by your hotel in Cusco at 7:00 a.m., then take a 3-hour trip to Pajchanta, where you can relax in the hot springs and have lunch.

After your first lunch, take an impressive 3-hour hike to the Pachaspata camp, which is 4750 meters / 15483 feet and between high snow-capped mountains, from where you can enjoy the magnificent sunset views.

  • Hiking length: 6 km /3.7 miles
  • Trekking time: 2 and a half hours
  • Pajchanta hot springs: 4,320 meters / 14,137 feet
  • Pachaspata Altitude: 4760 meters / 15,617 ft

DAY 02. Pachaspata – Jampa Pass – Huchuy Phinaya.

Today you will wake up between beautiful glaciers and lagoons and have breakfast outdoors with breathtaking views. Then start walking uphill to Jhampa Pass (5020 meters / 16470 feet), the first highest point of the Ausangate trek tour. From here, you will enjoy incredible landscapes.

At noon, enjoy a nutritious lunch at Jampa Pampa. Then descend along the shore of a small river of freshwater and among hundreds of South American camelids and spend the second night of the expedition at the Huchuy Pjinaya camp.

At 6 am. Take your energetic breakfast, then start ascending to Palomani Pass, the highest point of the Ausangate hiking tour. From here, you will have beautiful 360° panoramic views and, if you are in perfect condition, you can climb 150 meters further to be very close to the glacier.

After photographing, go down to Ausangate Qocha (Ausangate Lagoon), where you will enjoy a rewarding lunch. Then continue with your journey to the Ananta camp, where you will spend the last night of the expedition.

Try to arrive before the crowd and take excellent photos with the first rays of the sun. To continue enjoying the charm of nature, head to the red valley viewpoint, where you will be surprised by the geological formation and the beauty of the landscape.

After all, start down to the Chilliwani bus parking lot, where you can enjoy the last lunch of the hike. Then say goodbye to the muleteers and cook and finally catch your private mobility to the city of Cusco. Arrival at approximately 6 p.m.
