RAINBOW MOUNTAIN OR COLOR MOUNTAIN
Our adventure will start very early with pick up from your Hotel at 2:45am – 3:00am.
Then we will leave the city of Cusco with direction towards the south, traveling 3 hours we will arrive at the small town of Pitumarca – Quesoyuni, that is very close to one of the 5 highest snowplains of Peru Ausangate, here we will have an excellent and unforgettable sunrise with Breathtaking views of the eastern Andes mountain range, we will also have our delicious light breakfast and last place to stock up on provisions. Then we will start with the 3 hour walk, we will walk upwards towards the Land of Colors; In this tour we will have fascinating presence of snow-capped mountains, deep gorges with freshwater streams, flora and fauna of the puna (Aves, llamas and Alpacas). So gradually as we go up our panoramic view is changing color and finally we will reach the highest and expected point of our route Viñicunca, mountain of 7 colors or rainbow. Here we will have enough time to enjoy this beautiful geological formation of millions of years. After excellent photographs and relax, we will begin to descend without losing the details of this ecological floor, we will also be lucky to see the inhabitants of this area in typical and very colorful costumes woven with Alpaca wool and llama. In this way, you will feel the kindness of the children who will welcome us and the farewell.
After 2 hours and a half of descent we will arrive at Quesoyuni, place where our mobility will be waiting for us to take us to Pitumarca and lunch. Return to the city of Cusco 19: 00 hours approximately.
